Do you believe in Monarchy?

Monarchy means literally the rule of one. This is contrary to democracy, rule of the people, so these two ideas are opposed. The Queen of England does not rule in the sense of having absolute power, as all her powers are specious, so, as a representive of monarchy, she is not a good example to quote.
