How do you convince a good friend her marriage ending is the beginning of her life?

My friend is all upset that her husband abandoned her after years of hard times and sadness. Every time she turned around she stared heartache in the face. She is a really good woman who has put up with ALOT more than anyone else would. I know I can't take away the hurt, but what can I say to help her? She is the kind of person who is ALWAYS there to help no matter what. Too bad her drunk husband can't see that for himself!!!!! Any help would be appreciated!!!!
