Why didnt my boyfriend respond to my text?

I texed him asking what was good with him, he repsonded saying nothin much and that he was just hanging out. He asked what about me, and I said I was doing the same and that I was kinda bored.after that, he didn't respond. He always does this. When he asks what I'm doing, I tell him , he dosent say anything back. Like for instance he asked what I was up to, I saidl I just woke up and he didn't say anything back. Whay does he do this. Hellp
